Research and planning: trailer rough cut

This is our trailer in the beginning stages of filming. This includes only the asylum scenes and the storyboard scenes in between in place of the shots we are yet to film.

After presenting our trailer so far to the class this is the feedback we got back.

Our strengths are:
'The logos were good'  I created these logos on photoshop to show the company logo called 'After dark'.

'The acting is good' Our friend Harriet offered to act in our trailer as the girl in the asylum and i feel she works well playing this role.

A lot of the feedback said 'The editing transitions are good', i feel this is our main strength because we worked together to be sure that the fast pace editing would work well.

Weaknesses:

People thought that the story line in our trailer 'narrative was unclear', this is understandable because the only shots that we filmed were the asylum scenes, which are flash backs during our filming we will edit the scenes to show the narrative more clearly.

Some people from the feedback also said that the mise-en-scene, the room that we filmed didn't look 'clinical enough' and needs to look more like an asylum, we are planning on re-filming parts of these scenes but to the same standard as the previously filmed scenes.
